WARNING!!! The description written by Amazon for this device is actually for that Platinum version, not this version of the application. Look at the description for Multimedia Platinum HD V.10 and you may see that it can be identical to this place for Video Premium HD V.11. It is amazing present Plays Blu-ray Disc is labeled about the products box yet it doesn't play blu-ray disc. Must be a record for false advertisement. I have always liked Nero products, nonetheless they really dropped the ball on this place! Not only could it completely not recognize Blu-ray disks, nevertheless it would not even play DVDs - where a few more programs had absolutely NO problem about the same computer. I don't require a large suite of tools that I am not planning to use. I just wanted a Blu Ray player. I thought this may fit the bill. States within the box Blu Ray Player. Installed it, experienced several iterations of obtainable updates. Once done, I loaded a random Blu Ray disk from my collection and received the big mistake message: The following feature will not be available in your service: MVC Decoding. So, I had a talk to Nero support. They informed me that I might need to yet upgrade the program to a full suite of tools that I will not use to experience Blu Ray disks which require MVC decoding to come up with stereoscopic and multi-view 3D video streams. hrumph. Great product! Super Easy! My 15 years old son needed to edit his HD videos, I failed to want him to have frustrated with many complicated software so I did my research and once I read the reviews regarding how simple the application is I was convinced. He made his first video Christmasthe day he started using it and was posted on Utube before nightfall. Music, sound effects and all sorts of!! My son said he loved it and possesses so many extras he doesnt have any idea everything it can do yet but that's was soo basic and he approved of it!!That says alot received from him.

My pc and Windows version meets all requirements. I maintain number of background processes that run at startup in the system to your minimum. However, any try and use film editing program causes it to show the message who's has experienced a challenge and must de-activate. So, it editor is unusable. The video player works OK and apparently plays about almost any video format file.
An Internet search about this program will show up a common conplaint of computer being as slow as Christmas.

Page file size, ram, defraged disk drive, - -it all really needs to be good. If it's then you are in for just a treat once you learn how to put it to use. A true universal package in a box.

While the program should be given a five star rating; I feel those customers who already own Nero 10 know about potential problems together with the HD Upgrade on offer. I pre-ordered the upgrade and received a serial number to activate the HD portion mid-October. There would be the problem! The serial number I was sent doesnt save inside the Control Center of Nero and doesnt activate any additional HD features. I have sent and received emails for TWO Weeks to Nero Tech Support and find nothing more than instructions concerning how to install the upgrade. I have followed the directions, installed, uninstalled and re-installed the upgrade about 15 times. It still doesnt work with all the serial number I was handed. A friend of mine bought the upgrade, and I tried his serial number, and what happens? The HD programs worked! That sort of pinpoints the issue being the serial number that I was presented with. I told Nero support that the opposite number worked, and asked these to void the phone number I was sent, and issue me another number. Their reply was which they dont issue replacement numbers, as soon as again sent directions concerning how to install the upgrade. Im not wanting to bash Nero, because Ive owned Nero since version 5; however support stinks. My friend loves this course, and I probably would too, if I stood a good number that may make it work. I think really the only person they have got in Support is Ismael, since every reply that I receive originates from him, and all of he does is send directions on the way to install the upgrade. It seems that if an individual number works, and also the other number doesnt; so it has for being a serial number issue, not installation. Hopefully Nero will check this out rating and reply using a way for getting my upgrade to be effective. If they correct the issue, I will update this review into their favor. Read more

Generally speaking, this is often a relatively good product. It is, however, marred by awful customer care and odd program behaviors at the least with regard to video conversion. For example, when I attempt to convert homemade DVD movies with menus to their full digital counterparts with menus, Nero only converted the principle movie, despite the fact that fact it recognized the Chapter locations before conversion comes about. In addition, the DVD conversion frequently the rest stops 1/3 or 1/2 from the way by having a DVD, displaying the subsequent message: There was a difficulty with DirectShow. The application quit for poor quality reason. Not especially helpful feedback.

I was previously a Nero fan. However, 10 is horrid. I agree with others that this company has no support services. I followed the instructions, sent the information that their tech support asked for, and after four days I get a canned email asking me for everything Id already sent them. The automatic update fails to function for me. It shows which the patches are now being downloaded, and installed. The next thing I know, this system says which the same updates I just made are around for download. Im finding comfort Roxio. Nero 10 will be worth a zero.

Nero Showtime 9 doesnt develop windows 7 but Nero claims Nero 10 does so I bought Nero 10 Platinum. It was the greatest disappointment I have ever had with software. Nero Showtime a dial to skip forward or reverse through scenes. The new Nero MediaHub just sucks.
1 They removed the dial to pick speeds to undergo videos. Why? Nero Player is similar to Windows Media Player. Why?
2 I would copy DVDs to hard disk drives and play directly in Showtime. MediaHub can begin to play DVDs from disk drive but a DVD has to be within the optical drive so MediaHub can teach its DVD Video page. A DVD file could be dragged and dropped to the optical drive portion and MediaHub will play it. This is stupid.
3 You can try to experiment with DVDs on the Videos page nevertheless it skips menus and doesnt help you choose chapters. This is stupid.
4 Vision Xtra is awful being an editor. I want to simply cut videos and add title cards and captions. Windows Live Movie Maker does that but Nero Vision cant keep it simplistic. Why am I wasting time learning to make use of this garbage?
5 Vision Xtra changed the shades of my videos. In playback on another computer as well as other video players, blues became orange and everything became beaten up. I don't possess this problem with Windows Live Movie Maker.
There is also another problems but I bought Nero for just a better player along with a better movie editor. Nero is currently neither. I havent tried Burning ROM, which I decide to use, or BackItUp, which I dont intend to use ever.
Nero Showtime had been the best DVD player. Now Nero MediaHub is much like all the rest. The Movie editor, Vision Xtra, is clunky at best. I have no idea about the rest from the problems but Vision Xtra has set me back enough time which consists of problems.

I tried it to upgrade to Nero 12 Platinum. Now I need to upgrade to Nero 15 Platinum. Nero can be a fantastic software package - youll find it irresistible.
