Has anyone here used Neros MPEG-2/DVD Encoder for NeroVision Express? Is it much better than TMPGEnc? Its 24.00 so Id rather discover from other people prior to making the jump. Ive had my Sony DRU-500A for two weeks and theres a great deal of software in existence. Ive used Nero burning CDs however, not DVDs. Just covering the many bases. Thanks.

I needed it because I get mpeg2 that I didn y encode and nero say I need it re-encode them. Problem is that nero s encoder sucks. film s look fantastic on windvd in svcd format but after I re-encode then with nero they are terible.
You wasted your dollars. Re-encoding produces horrible results always, regardless of the encoder - - and TMPGEnc s encoding routines are better anyway.
