Well this could have been nice to find out yesterday! Lol, I followed the instructions from the Bioware forums which can make you decompress each cd manually, and install everything manually. I spent about eight hours as well as some tries upon it total before I got it working. Oh well, good tutorial, hope it may help some people around.
fizdev- NWN actually does run more smoothly under Ubuntu, at the very least for me. Ive noticed a marked difference from my windows install.

I think this thread essentially sums up the actual situation. Hopefully Bioware will discover a method around this. To think I probably would have purchased the Kingmaker CD, with the exception that I havent even had time for it to complete the initial campaign, not to mention Shadows of Undertide and Hordes with the Underdark.
