Sorry being dragging up this old cat, but I need help. I am currently recovering a close friends notebook ASUS X55V and used the recovery within the machine its self. All went well so I returned the notebook. But then I got a try telling me there is no Office installed around the machine. But further inspection said that this notebook doesnt come pre-installed with Office. So I am guessing she was soled a notebook along with a separate version of Office. Checking purchasing invoice confirms this. So I asked her to the CDDVD, but she's none. Checking through all documentation and DVDs that came while using notebook, nothing has arrived. It would seem that a shop that sold her the package installed it but didnt send her the CDDVD. The store has since gone under and closed doors. So I considered downloading the trial from Microsoft and activating it online with all the key, but I cant get the version 2010 anywhere. And I really wanted to prevent getting it from some under legal website.
I am seeking help here. What are our options? Can she have a DVD? Download the Trial somewhere? What can perform to solve this predicament? All help greatly appreciated.

I run Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and signed up with the Microsoft Office Student risk free. The version of Office that had been automatically downloaded and installed is 32-bit. If I am to contemplate paying 150 for the fully registered copy, Id just like the opportunity to try the 64-bit version. Is there in whatever way I can try this?

I did one better. I was able to locate my account page and locate a way to send a contact to MS customer care citing an order number and explaining the problem to them. Hopefully theyll enable me to download the 64-bit version under exactly the same free trial parameters. If it normally won't, some may have other suggestions. And if they do not possess even that, I can always hardly buy this product from them.
You probably missed the spot to pick out 64 bit download. Uninstall current version, download new 64 bit trial you may need to create a new, throw-away, email account to be capable to do it.

I didnt miss anything. When I signed up with the trial, I got an installer bootstrap file that downloads and installs Office 2010 automatically. It probably defaulted on the 32-bit version without giving me an opportunity to select the 64-bit version. I was informed about which has a Microsoft Office account that I can use to redownload, etc., but I cant realize that information any longer.

Yes, it's my understanding that this downloads default to 32bit, and from what Ive heard they create the 64 bit link/button/option difficult to spot.

When you download a shot version of Office 2010 from Microsoft website, that you are redirected to page Microsoft Office Store HomeMy Account. It has your key for trial product, along with order details. Under the Download Now, button there is often a link for Download options. When you click it, a show up window opens, and 2 little links are visible around the top to download either 32-Bit or 64-Bit. You can choose 64-Bit, and also 32-Bit. Both were easily downloadable.
