I am running this using a 2 year old PC having a 2.8Ghz processor and a pair of Gb of RAM and yes it runs fine. Before buying, I downloaded the trial version of both X2 and Elements 6 and chose to select X2. I felt that Elements 6 had vastly superior Raw processing capability but once you have into Tiff/JPEG work, it imposed way too many limits on which I wanted to try and do. However, Corel definitely want to get their act together on Raw processing - they can be behind the bend on this facet of image processing, hence only 4 stars Other versus the Raw issue, I am pleased with X2 and think it can be excellent value.

As a software developer working mainly with web related technologies, I have to constantly manage and manipulate images. This is really a task I am hopeless at I can crop and resize images but other things and I think it is almost impossible. I had used PSP since version 4. This one may be the first since Corel took over and it also will function as the last. Apart from gloss if you don't or forget about functionality than there is in version 9. Corel support is useless - they are going to it says only support technical issues using a fee paying basis. They are likely to support installation issues, but my question around the registration nag screen appearing even though product is registered will not be answered except for that auto acknowledgement. Ive been an everyday user of Adobe Photoshop for over a decade. I still use Photoshop for almost all of my quick image editing jobs - because I am very comfortable while using menus, layout, and image corrections. But recently I added Corel Patinshop Pro X5 to my software list. I appeared loving the HUGE pair of plug-ins then one-click image enhancement macros. This years new X6 edition adds a lot more plug-ins! So when I wish to make my photos uniquely different I play with all the dozens of different macros that Corel has. As youll learn, some of the plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop be more expensive than the Corel software! So its a great deal in itself!
