I didnt know very well what version this CD was considering that the manufacturer did not provide that info for the package. Trying to get a customer satisfaction person or tech is utterly futile.

I too am possessing this Error issue the real difference thought is always that I have Windows 7 Pro on my small home pc plus it installed on their own perfectly. I am not trying to fit on Windows 8 at your workplace. It keeps giving me a mistake saying that I have a corrupt Outlook PST file so it needs to switch to make this work. I dont believe that it is my OS. Will get to ya after I research a lot more!

Youve also captured my experience exactly - CD packaged with NeatReceipts scanner, identical error messages and frustrations. I just purchased my NeatReceipts scanner yesterday December 05, 2012. I even tried copying the CD into a folder in my hard drive and installing after that. Same problems.
Of course I blame Nuance, but I also blame The Neat Company. If you package something with the product, it is often a part of your products. And in the event you arent happy to check it thoroughly, you happen to be negligent.

I purchased the NeatDesk Scanner straight from Neat today and same same messages. Not very happy because that became a very attractive offer if you ask me and played a part in my decision to obtain the scanner presently.

Their cust support response if you ask me was ver 6 doesnt work with Windows 7. They want one to buy ver 8 for 100. They wont honor the faulty ver 6 that had my NeatDesk Scanner that I bought via on July/12/2012.

After waiting to get a response from Nuance, no luck there, I decided that I needed to try to fix their xbox with broken PDF creation see below. It didn't help to Repair in Windows. I did understand it to work by uninstalling PDF Converter Professional 8, deleting the Program folders and reinstalling the software program.
I am now back action, but you can find clearly issues with this particular software. So include a star, and not as many as I would were it defect free. You should not need to go through this rigmarole to create it work.

Ive used a quantity of PDF programs including Acrobat since Version 3. For small office use we wanted something less expensive than Acrobat that might still possess the strength to edit PDF documents. PDF PRO is not hard to learn. We have used version 7 and recently upgraded to version 8. However, after a couple weeks we are still not able to get PDF Converter Pro 8 to activate. We provide an active support ticket and still have spent hours for the phone with Nuance offshore tech support team trying this and Endless, no solution yet. Very trashy company to manage.

I have several versions of varied of Nuances products. They cannot provide because on the draconian activation system. Nuance will explain that you are able to deactivate or uninstall the programs to re-install it on another computer. This will not be the case. Their activation server generally seems to work flawlessly, however their deactivation server not whatsoever. They do not worry about repeat business and their customer care is non-existent, unless it truly is to sell you the newest version. I have recently purchased this program and yes it is now useless because I had to put in a new hard drive on my small computer. When it turned out working it would have been a difficult to assist. I will never buy another Nuance product again. I also have precisely the same activation downside to Paperport and Omnipage which is really a resource hog. They make this happen on purpose, because it would be all to easy to provide an alternative system that wouldn't rip their clientele off. MS Windows, for example has a telephone activation system for reinstalling the os's on a brand new hard drive when you've already activated it.I are actually a Scansoft/Nuance customer for more than 10 years, but get rid of.

Received the package without any issues. CD had the right manufacturers printing. CD envelope had the license numbers. When examined there have been no files within the CD; properties showed a blank CD.
Contacted Nuance realtime for the internet only to become given a telephone number on who to call. Their Customer Service is open 1st shift only. Left an email msg using their internet site email. When contacted I was told to give it back to Amazon. I guess acquiring a download and while using the license for the envelope has not been possible whilst they sell software for download. I was not very happy with their customer support on this issue so I chosen to return the product or service for refund and rehearse a competitors product instead.

I strongly suggest considering an alternative choice to buying this system. My reason is that you'll have to handle Nuance, an organization lost in 1980s software client satisfaction policies. Once you install this you may be confronted with popups to update, have more expensive edition. If you check dont remind me again it truly is like getting more popups. They appear on the watch's screen no matter everything you may be doing with the time. If you contact them you have someone who has English like a third language with no satisfaction. If this were the most beneficial pdf converter which it can be not I would not cope with Nuance again for anything.
