I too am with this Error issue the main difference thought is always that I have Windows 7 Pro on my small home pc and it also installed on the perfectly. I am not trying to setup on Windows 8 in the office. It keeps giving me a mistake saying that I have a corrupt Outlook PST file so it needs to switch the signal from make this work. I dont realize its my OS. Will get to ya after I research a lot more!

Youve also captured my experience exactly - CD packaged with NeatReceipts scanner, very same error messages and frustrations. I just purchased my NeatReceipts scanner yesterday December 05, 2012. I even tried copying the CD with a folder in this little hard drive and installing from that point. Same problems.
Of course I blame Nuance, but I also blame The Neat Company. If you package something using your product, it is usually a part of your product or service. And in the event you arent ready to check it thoroughly, you might be negligent.

I purchased the NeatDesk Scanner right from Neat today and same same messages. Not very happy because that became a very attractive offer in my experience and played a part in my decision to obtain the scanner presently.

Their cust support response in my experience was ver 6 doesnt operate in Windows 7. They want you to definitely buy ver 8 for 100. They wont honor the faulty ver 6 that was included with my NeatDesk Scanner that I bought via on July/12/2012.

After waiting for just a response from Nuance, no luck there, I decided that I needed to try to repair the problem with broken PDF creation see below. It would not help to Repair in Windows. I did have it to work by uninstalling PDF Converter Professional 8, deleting the Program folders and reinstalling the application.
I am now back action, but you will discover clearly issues with this particular software. So put in a star, yet not as many as I would were it defect free. You should not need to go through this rigmarole to produce it work.

Ive used a variety of PDF programs including Acrobat since Version 3. For small office use we wanted something less expensive than Acrobat that could still hold the strength to edit PDF documents. PDF PRO is straightforward to learn. We have used version 7 and recently upgraded to version 8. However, after fourteen days we are still struggling to get PDF Converter Pro 8 to activate. We provide an active support ticket and also have spent hours about the phone with Nuance offshore tech support trying this and Endless, no solution yet. Very trashy company to face.

I have several versions of various of Nuances products. They cannot supply because from the draconian activation system. Nuance will explain that you'll be able to deactivate or uninstall the programs to re-install it on another computer. This is just not the case. Their activation server appears to work flawlessly, however deactivation server not in any way. They do not cherish repeat business and their support services is non-existent, unless it truly is to sell you the newest version. I have recently purchased this program and yes it is now useless because I had to setup a new hard drive on my own computer. When that it was working it was obviously a difficult to work together with. I will never buy another Nuance product again. I also have exactly the same activation challenge with Paperport and Omnipage which can be a resource hog. They try this on purpose, mainly because it would be very easy to provide an alternative system that didn't rip their potential customers off. MS Windows, as an illustration has a telephone activation system for reinstalling the os on a different hard drive when you could have already activated it.I are already a Scansoft/Nuance customer more than 10 years, but forget about.

Received the package without having issues. CD had the correct manufacturers printing. CD envelope had the license numbers. When examined there was no files within the CD; properties showed a blank CD.
Contacted Nuance realtime around the internet only to get given a telephone number on who to call. Their Customer Service is open 1st shift only. Left an email msg using their site email. When contacted I was told to take it back to Amazon. I guess finding a download and with all the license for the envelope hasn't been possible but they sell software for download. I was not satisfied with their support services on this issue so I chosen to return this product for refund and rehearse a competitors product instead.

I recommend considering an alternative choice to buying the product. My reason is that you may have to cope with Nuance, a firm lost in 1980s software customer happiness policies. For example I lost my disk to re-install the software program I had purchased in Nuance on a brand new computer, the response, a fee in EXCESS of what I could invest in a New replacement same product coming from a 3rd if you ask me letting them are aware of the reality in the market, sorry we are not able to support you.

Once you install this you might be exposed to popups to update, acquire more expensive edition. If you check dont remind me again it's like seeking more popups. They appear on-screen no matter what we may be doing with the time. If you contact them you receive someone who has English as being a third language without satisfaction.
