I love PSE, the truth is I often find yourself using it more frequently than my full version of Photoshop for simpler tasks. You can get great outcomes touching up and improving photos, creating cards and invitations, etc. However, you will need to purchase a book or perform some online tutorials to get probably the most out of it. Can strongly suggest I also use Photo Essentials with PSE which supplies some great plug-ins - I just wish Adobe would build most of these into its program!
I had to get yourself a book cover finished also it had to meet certain criteria so far as quality, resolution etc. I tried several free programs plus they didnt work. I couldnt afford Photoshop but luckily Elements had just enough to obtain the job done.
It had a wide range of options that I had no idea how or what to utilize them for.

Photoshop Elements 8, 9 and 10 all suffer from your same major flaw. You can barely read the little fonts and pay attention to the printing and icons contrary to the black on grey background. This is especially true if you've got a higher resolution monitor which most of us do now. I was so disappointed when I purchased the product because I expected much more from Adobe. They are suppose to become the gold standard of photo editing. I was shocked when I opened this system and could barely put it to use. I have decent vision but I should strain to see the UI printing. There is no approach to adjust the font size or background color in different of these versions. Adobe forums are brimming with complaints concerning this issue and I recommend NOT buying the product until it really is rectified.
Dont waste your cash until Adobe provides a strategy to adjust UI fonts and background color.

That was what I thought, used the trail version. I liked 9, although it did not try everything well and was not by any means easy to understand some instructions a large amount of internet in search of better tutorials. Im not an experienced guitarist, dont cause me to feel work so hard to master it, right? The features I used, simple cropping, adding text and a few corrections used clone lots, 9 was much easier and much easier to see the equipment! For the price, Ill wait and pay attention to if the next improved version is a marked improvement.

I installed Photoshop Elements 10 in my 2.8 GHz i7 iMac, running System 10.6.8. Since many reviewers on the boxed version have thoroughly discussed the characteristics of Photoshop Elements already, I am focusing this review on my small experiences with using PSE jointly with Apple iPhoto.

On my Mac desktop running Lion I was using iPhoto, but chosen to try the revolutionary PSE the download proceeded, an iPhoto screen appeared saying downloading, over 5000 images no photos utilised by PSE 10 begun to download, I pushed the stop button about the screen to no I were required to spend a couple of hours manually deleting each one of, Mac owners, if you could have iPhoto on the computer beware on this glitch. Then, as soon as the PSE 10 program was installed, my iPhoto photos were seen from the PSE 10 Organizer, however they were not within the albums that I had them positioned in would have taken me hours to re-organize my 4000 a call on the overseas contact center that Adobe chose to just uninstall the entire program and keep with iPhoto.

When I saw this is on promo, I snatched up. Just got a new new iMac, so I felt I needed the most up-to-date version for being sure I was 100% Lion compatible. The upgrade from ver six to ten was very smooth and straightforward.
I manipulate Elements 3, 6 and after this 10. I truly enjoyed Elements 6, and 10 brings a new refinements. I really like the newest guided edits. There are many that I now use using a regular basis. They may even take the place of any couple of actions I have added.
Speaking being a former professional photographer, I have found that Photoshop Elements will you must do everything a photographer needs.

I are actually a PC customer until this recently and moving to Mac was exciting along with a challenge. Number one disappointment was that I missed my old Adobe photoshop! I always disliked the intense nature in the photoshop on any PC I ownedit was just ver. 5 but loved the editing. Main complaint was around the PC whenever I developed a slideshow, I spent days upon it, then it would not work. I actually bought my Mac because I watched my mother in law in their own 60s generate a slideshow in moments that looked a lot better than anything I put together on my small PC. I was sold around the mac right then, so I really liked the simplicity iPhoto because of this. Priceless hours reduced. But with no editing features, the photos were poor, and I only agreed to be using 1/10 in the features with Adobe 5 within the PC. So for Christmas my better half got me the download for my Mac. I was thrilled!!! Cheaper on Amazon than iTunes! even happier! Love my thought for sure the most recent software and my Mac might have no problem.
I am so frustrated to seek out out AFTER I purchased it, that inside the slick advertising description, they are not able to note that they just don't offer slideshow feature for that Mac. Omitting that fact, they say you'll be able to do not mention it specifically and the removal in this feature with the mac. I can use sun and rain for editing the photos but need to move involving the programs and it is usually a PAIN. So I must give slideshow one star because I feel duped that this type of simple option isn't there, rather than noted on many sites or descriptions. I am surprised this hasn't popped up on any reviews.

I dont think I could arrive at the day without creating something with Photoshop Elements, and version 10 has even more features and improvements. I havent had any problems with this particular new version, so I am happy!

Please be warned that Elements 10 for Mac doesn't have the identical features because Windows Version. Although it truely does work on Mac, it's clunky and lack features within the Windows Version. Read more

The graphical user interface is somewhat confusing for any Mac user. Photoshop is very much an improved and satisfying program. I seldom use Elements. What a disappointment.

Doesnt work whatsoever for Panther PPC Mac Minis. I found themselves returning this to Amazon after Adobe confirmed that it hasn't been as advertised.
