I moved far from Poser for the reason that rendering time was long. However, recently, Daz released a brand new generation of models according to their Genesis technology. In particular, generation 5 and above Victoria and Michael figures at the moment are based with this new technology. I did switched from Poser to Daz manly because Daz Studio acts like a general 3d software and me being Maya user can customize Daz Studio to like Maya by tweaking it s shortcuts. Also the animate 2 tool in Dazstduio is really awesome that will let you create animations very quickly and it actually helped inside a project I was doing in office.
Although something I really don t like even Carrara could be the lack of proper IK system. I mean in certain situations you need to pin the arms and feets in a single while moving other parts of the body and DazStudio pin tools sucks during this. If Daz fix this problem and gives an effective ik fix like one out of Poser than Daz are going to be a true bomb.

Wow. You have many from the same things I did. Before Poser, I used to utilize Strata 3D, which can be a nice 3D program, great renderer, but lacked the capacity to handle figures like Poser. Yeah, I think the fellows at Daz really did a fantastic job with DS 4.6. I tried some on the earlier versions, but couldn t understand it to run properly, that has been why I selected Carrara.
