Tried numerous Open Source free players and never one would sync closed captions properly. Some even would pause during playback and have the audio outside of sync. Im lookin at you, VLC, that's both problems. Power DVD just plays your DVD how its meant to get with no have to fool with sync settings or any other details you shouldnt have to endure. Very easy to work with and intuitive which has a great interface.
