Okay, first got it downloaded finally. WoW! They migrated the identical XFontUtiMac crash from v. 8.5 into the new version. V.9 crashes on launch in 10.6.7, just like the old version.:-

8.15 clears crash problem on Intel Macs
We struggled to have the download with this update, considering that the Quark website maintained on sending us in circles. However, Quark support were great and started using it on FTP for many people. Once installed, it's cured our crashing problem.
I have right now been using Quark for 14 years, from version 3.32. Ive also used Pagemaker, Ventura Publisher, Indesign, and a few budget applications including PagePlus.
I felt Quark lost the plot with version 5. Version 6 was better, and 7 was much better than that. Its only version 8, in conjunction with todays hardware, which includes given me the earlier quick Quark believe I had under version 4 for System 8. By comparison, Indesign feels very sluggish, and, since Adobe have boosted their upgrade prices, Im not longer seeing benefits keeping in mind CS3 updated.
