I drive a good deal for my job, and getting my iPhone mounted immediately in front of me and being in a position to take it on and from the mount without fumbling with any mechanisms or buttons is best suited. The mounts Ive had before can just stick to the windshield or windows, though the suction cup about the base with the iMagnet is constructed of a sticky material that sticks to textured surface like my dashboard. It takes up minimal space and doesnt block my vision. The magnets are strong and my phone is securely attached. I was grateful with the gift, so I thought Id share an appraisal to help others out also!
I initially was worried that this magnet would weaken along with the phone would go away, but after having the item for more than three months, the mount sticks very well to my dashboard. Almost too well, I desired to move it to my husbands car, and it also was kinda challenging to peel off. I thought it will leave a marking, but it really was quite minimal. The magnet still sticks very well to my iPhone case and I are yet to noticed it messing with my phones functions battery, GPS etc. I am going to increase my rating from four or five stars.

I have been looking to get a simple, clutter free, one handed solution for docking my phone during my car. Ive tried universal docks which wind up falling apart or losing their grip. Ive tried a specifically made dock but theyre too tight to use that has a case.
Im not while using the suction mount aspect therefore i wont be speaking about it. I took off of the magnet and mounted it right to my dash.
The beauty of it can be I get during my car and simply slap it for the magnet. No fuss, no adjusting.
Case thickness does change the strength of hold however. So if you've a bulky case otterbox, you could possibly consider a different case or simply mounting the magnet towards the back. Its thin enough not to ever even notice.

I use a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I dont work with a cover, so I was hoping the metal plate would fit between my battery door and battery. I gave it a try with all the non-adhesive round plate and yes it worked perfectly! I switch batteries out sometimes simply because this phone is really a battery hog, so I wanted to work with one on the adhesive plates so how the plate wouldnt drop out. I had to chop one with the rectangular plates right down to about 2/3 of the size having a pneumatic cutter and also a filer. I place the adhesive side touching it door, also it fits perfectly!
