I have already been using Quicken for greater than 30 years and possess upgraded with each new edition. I purchased and upgraded Quicken 2015 to Quicken 2016 and it also is absolutely the worse upgrade I have ever used. The installation went fine. All my accounts displayed their correct balances and the brand new bill tracking feature was nice. The first problem occurred when I did a manual backup as I did for thirty years other than just relying within the automatic backup. The first thing I encountered was Quicken 2016 asking me for my Intuit account and password to complete the backup. When I entered the account ID and password I have using for several years it rejected it. I skipped the backup and went back in to the program. I attempted to perform manual backup again and also this time no request Intuit account ID and password and backup ran. However, if the backup process finished it would not allow me to back in to the program. Quicken 2016 asked me for any password to have back in to the database I have already been using for 5 years without having password. Since I didnt make the password I could not guess it and may even not get back together in. I restored a similar data file from backup and had exactly the same password issue. Fortunately I had data file secured up the first sort day. I loaded that file and created my password, thinking I was ready to go. Next morning I logged through to my system, opened Quicken 2016 now my financial calendar and budget information was blank. Closing and reopening Quicken 2016 failed to help. Out of desperation I ran the validate utility. That was if your bottom fell out. All of my account balances were means of. At that point I decided to uninstall Quicken 2016 and reload Quicken 2015 and restore a 2 day old data file. Since Quicken is my bread and butter program for managing my finances I cannot afford to readily unreliable program that mangles my data. After Quicken 2016 I have become guarded to purchasing future releases until there exists solid assurance which it works as advertised.

This update is very broken - it lost each of the transactions in the majority of my investment accounts, randomly started automatically entering transactions in to the register for some in the accounts when I opened the file without the need of way of stopping it, started showing balances against accounts who have not been useful for several years and were hidden and zeroed. A validate doesnt seem to have inked anything.
I tried the upgrade twice - went back on the previous data file and reopened it letting the computer convert it. Similar results and not entirely consistent. Neither upgrade was acceptable. Will be uninstalling this version all night back on the previous until theyve fixed this crap.

I have already been using Quicken since inception. I have bought each upgrade over the years. I then bought 2016. I cannot log into my Suntrust bank application as I got inside the eternal loop of having to vary the password from the Quicken Software. Software wouldn't let me make use of the existing password along with a Suntrust password can't be changed with the software After approximately 8 hours of customer care not being able to help you 3 Representatives I lost the battle. I uninstalled 2016 and re-installed 2015. No need to go in another password and all sorts of is well.I want my money-back and compensation for time. Also when I motivated to be escalated to a expert the request was ignored. The case number if a person at Intuit reads this post was 413297929. 11/22/2016 - 7:30am to 8:51pm and I paid 70.00 to boot because of this. Who did the testing with this software???????

UPDATE 12/2/15: Intuit has released a patch R3, which generally seems to have corrected the problems. Check your installation updates to R3. Cautiously trying Quicken 2016 R3 and possess backed up my Quicken 2015 information in case I must revert to Quicken 2015.
Very number of years Quicken see my reviews of prior versions. Over 19 years of background 148MB data file. I purchased Quicken Premier 2016 aiming to address the Quicken 2015 crashes I was having under Windows 10. Quicken 2016 installation was fine as were initial file conversions. However, after running Quicken 2016 to get a few days I have had issues with all the file passwords don't being recognized, registers with a lot of transaction data don't visible, account attributes being changed eg, bank account became a loan account. I have upgraded each and every year without any problems. This version regardless of the hyped up marketing is significantly from stable. I do not have faith in Quicken 2016 and am reverting returning to Quicken 2015. Will possible until a few more release patches to be sold.

Buyer beware. Just bought the Premier 2016 update yesterday. download install worked reasonable well so did this software until I tried to download Merrill Lynch investment transactions. this won't ML states that Premier 2016 just isn't yet that will work with them. how they do not expect a fix until March of 2016. Quicken confirmed that it is in fact so. Quicken noted how the 2016 software packages are their first version being fully compatible with all the Windows 10 computer. So if your are a ML client delay until the fix is. I uninstalled the 2016 program and re-installed the Premier 2015. I am a very long time Quicken user and intend being so. Just have to wait a little longer to have to utilize 2016 update.
