XDCAM Browser combines some from the functionalities supplied by the following separate applications into a single cross platform Windows and Mac OS application: PDZ-1 XDCAM Proxy Browser, PDZ-VX10 Sony XDCAM Viewer, XDCAM Proxy Viewer, XDCAM Transfer for Final Cut Pro, and XDCAM EX ClipBrowser. The separate applications will ultimately be phased out fat loss of their major features are ported onto XDCAM Browser. See the making notes for a listing of new features added to the present release.
XDCAM Browser v2.0 greater is officially qualified to utilize 32-bit/64-bit Mac OS X Lion
XDCAM Browser Version 2.1 or higher is necessary when you upgrade the Professional Media Station model XDS-xxxx to version 1.2x firmware.
XDCAM Browser Version 1.30 or higher is needed when you happen to be using either the PDW-U1 or PDW-U2 using the new XDCAM Drive Software VFAM driver version 3.0.
When using XDCAM Browser Version 1.30 on Mac OS X with optical XDCAM decks and camcorders FAM interface, please get more FAM driver to version 2.3.2.

PLEASE NOTE: It is very important that like model XDCAM products inside a system contain the same software, so update all similar products for the same time. Make sure to update all sets of products decks, camcorders, etc with their respective latest versions on the same time. This will insure proper interoperability.
