Im having difficulty to get image from my DVR.
If im connected to your network i've no issue whatsoever but from external the lan i'm able to logon on websites but then i obtained no image using quicktime and h.264.
i tryed with vpn/ddns, used firefox and iexplorer and used quicktime and h.264

Did you will need to download any ActiveX programs into your personal machine to view it about the LAN? If so, you may rule out using Firefox or quicktime. Youre IE bound.

I do not know the brand since the dvr originates from a friend and it is instaled in a foreign country.

Can you get for your DVRs Configuration settings? If so, you need to be able to find out and possibly alter your HTTP and data ports. At the least, see what has being forwarded.
