I specifically purchased whole process almost because Im a filmmaker and was required to burn DVD copies of my project, which had been shot inside a 16:9 widescreen format. Unfortunately, it cant be utilized for that.
First of, there are several cheaper choices for software about the market for burning DVDs. I chose Toast 12 since the developers site stated it could burn Blu-Rays. What they dont let you know until after youve spent your 99 is who's wont burn to Blu-Ray should you not spend an extra 20 for the plug-in. So right away, I felt sort of ripped off.
Then I discovered that Toast converts my 16:9 aspect ratio to 4:3, to ensure that it cuts off the right and left sides in the picture if it burns to disc. I have repeatedly experimented with burn discs but none can play in my Samsung blu-ray player. I have tried in PAL and NTSC, each of which are not recognized by the Samsung or my Panasonic dvd player.
Their customer care is horrible too, and failed to help. They wait you until your merchandise agreement expires.

Since 11.1 it's had a consistent bug that locks up my Mac and forces me to reboot. I read your review on cnet regarding toast. I see that other people are only slighlty satisfied. I am seeking software that can burn dads from my mac and format the to examine on dvd players for tv. Any recommendations?
Flawless until version 11.1. The Conversion choices are especially useful.
Update 11.1 had installation issues was required to dump previous preferences, etc. so that you can install the update. Even after finding the installation to be effective, the app locked up at the end with the burn cycle, frozen solid. This kept happening repeatedly.
Normally a chic app, I give this version merely one star due for the cons using this type of update. I have now reverted to version 11.0.4. I hope Roxio fixes these bugs, because Ive used this app for quite some time and want it much a lot better than Apples basic disc burn.

Absolutely the same as my issue. Had to retro to 11.04 to quit this freezing. This has become going on for months. Anyone know why it is happening and why they havent fixed this chances are?

The tutorials easy are helpful though the procedure for burning DVDs was simple, the tutorial was almost unneccessary. After burning numerous imovies onto DVD I still no complaints.
