I obtained a CnC first decade dvd and installed RA2 in windows 7 pc.

I encoutered that glitch before. It was on Win 7 32-bit. Fixed it by reinstalling, then running as administrator in Win XP SP2 compatibility mode. If that doesn t work, then I don't have any idea what direction to go next.

There s no magic to installing the games on new os. I installed Red Alert 2 and Yuri s Revenge on Windows 7 Pro x64 as well as the games run flawlessly. As far as I can say no, it doesn t inflict of that. I can still hear the sounds then when I click the spot that the buttons are it switches menus through the sound from it. And when I check it says it really is running. I ve also tried re-installing it many times.
