I purchased the whole English course for my spouse this Christmas. Wow I was expecting a whole lot more. This might be worth hundred bucks for somebody that understands nothing of a language. Having written many web and pc based applications, I am very disappointed while using lack of ability to quickly navigate through the tool.

I studied multiple languages and Rosetta stone is in best used by memorization of vocab, from common to somewhat obsucre, and reinforcing simple grammar. It will never explain grammar.
You never do over repeat what laptop computer says and select a b c or d. I have had native speakers make use of the speech recognition software and yes it still messes up on their behalf. Furthermore, right after days it can bore that you death. It is incredibly redundant.
Also, its super formal and super uptight language towards the point where it really is robotic grammar. Its boring rather than spoken. I would like to see someone that learned a language through rosetta stone as his or her main supply of information.
