Nothing I hate a lot more than crappy software. Same deal, received the ver 6 using the neat scanner. Will not install. Dont have time from crappy software.

I too am having one of these Error issue the visible difference thought is the fact that I have Windows 7 Pro in my home pc and yes it installed on his or her perfectly. I am not trying to setup on Windows 8 at your workplace. It keeps giving me a mistake saying that I have a corrupt Outlook PST file who's needs to exchange signal of make this work. Youve also captured my experience exactly - CD packaged with NeatReceipts scanner, identical error messages and frustrations. I just purchased my NeatReceipts scanner yesterday December 05, 2012. I even tried copying the CD into a folder on my small hard drive and installing following that. Same problems.
Of course I blame Nuance, but I also blame The Neat Company. If you package something along with your product, it is often a part of your product or service. And if you arent ready to check it thoroughly, you happen to be negligent.
I didnt purchase anything from Nuance. I purchased from you finding out, Neat.

Their cust support response in my opinion was ver 6 doesnt work with Windows 7. They want that you buy ver 8 for 100. They wont honor the faulty ver 6 that sported my NeatDesk Scanner that I bought via on July/12/2012.
