So I took the bait. Even after every one of the research I did on other Simcity forums from people that played beta I bought the experience.
Spent about 4 hours from it yesterday and I am quite disappointed inside it.
Graphics - Yes it appears very pretty. Even though I was shocked to determine the sims appearing like lego characters, overall the buildings and houses etc are extremely pretty.
Modular upgrades - Excellent idea, and is very effective. I never did such as the idea behind I need more firetrucks? build 5 more fire stations. Now I can add to the Firehouse and expand its coverage doing this. Works very well for Police, Fire, Schools, etc.
Curved Roads - I can actually produce a realistic looking town. The curved roads are perfect. However they leave complications with putting down homes and buildings with them at times.
Online DRM - I know everyone complains about it. I was willing to manage it. Then the servers occurred and I couldnt play. Is it first day issues? Im not sure nonetheless it was almost ironic in the event the servers was lost.
City Size - Of course a massive complaint, other reviews mention this. Filled up my entire town inside a little over sixty minutes.
Diversity of buildings - Where are all of the buildings I want to create? Im talking places like Museums, Churches, Zoos, Post Offices, etc. etc. I can think about tons of missing content. Were these omitted so EA can advertise us buildings for 1 each later in the future?

The biggest improvement that I saw in SimCity 4 were the disasters. In SimCity 3000 you experienced like what? 4? In SimCity 4 you obtain over eight disasters. The best part is you can control and select where your Tornado goes. You also get Volcanoes that erupt, Erathquakes that bury houses and split open the world, Meteor showers that leave everlasting craters and

The graphics are beautiful and engaging. It runs smoothly on my small pentium4 system which has a ge4 4200 graphics card.
