I happen to be an avid user of Snagit since version 7. I would not recommend buying or upgrading to version 12.00. The application once was the best product around the market. WHEN you were able make use of it when your ALL-In-ONE program to take or recording DOS screenshots and videos, which had been removed in version 9. The only thing that still made itself worth using was the OCR and text to screen function, which again were drawn in Version 12.0. Forcing users revisit Frapps or any other screen capture utilites for dos modes and today another app to try and do OCR and text to screen functions. Opinions may very, but without those 2 features in my opinion, this app is usually a waste in this particular version. Theres nothing inside it now that I cant do in another program. I hate to mention it, I really do, but so very long snagit, you might have nothing to provide me anymore being an all-in a single application. I will stick with version 11.0 or uninstall completely after all this. I havent really made up my thoughts on it yet. It got a couple only because its still somewhat employed to others.

Bit confusing to make use of. We had that old version 8 and loved the item. Bought it for my better half and he just isn't happy along with it. Does not such as hidden dropdown icon around the top with the screen. And it can be a bit confusing concerning how to change from selecting only a bit on the screen and having the whole scrolling webpage. Also made our computer slow on top of that up. Have removed it from startup and everything is faster now.

Ive had most with the versions since Snagit arrived. Some in the upgrades are not very good, others were just a little better. This upgrade to version 12 is exceptional. There are a lot of features which are big time savers. The interface is a lot improved, with additional options, better icons, more contrasting colors. The tray icon is very simple to see, not the pale icon of version 11. The editor is a lot easier to nagivate among recent snags. The workspace may be cropped larger, so it could be printed inside the middle with the page, rather that smack resistant to the top. When adding a caption, the font sizes, colors, positions are specified along lthe top ribbon, not the mysterious not easy to mouse to tiny balloons of version 11. I specified a color to the hot key on Logitech G910 Orion Spark RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard 920-006385 for your useless windows print screen key now I can snag very quickly. There are probably dozens more improvements. Highly recommend.
