I arrive at this rating by trying other solutions which simply did not work.
I started movie editing with Pinnacle and it also was ok; they were bought by AVID.
AVID reworked it and produced a fantastic product; but within a few months figured out handling consumer editors had not been something they planned to do. They sold to Corel.
I agreed with a lot of people that using Corel hasn't been something I was ready to tolerate; I would not use Corel if this were free.
Most reviewers said not to ever buy the Sony since it was an excessive amount learning curve.
What I like concerning the Sony package is; although learning curve can be a little more steep, the understanding curve is proper on. It makes sense plus it works.
I also tried the Adobe Premiere package and was more disappointed achievable than I have ever been having a software package; crash city, the single thing I could make use of when I booted the software programs are it would lock up.
It won't try to create all the decisions in your case, it doesn't try to assume it knows more details on what you want than you; you result in the decisions and present the commands then it works to suit your needs; it truly does work.

Sony Movie Studio 13 is okay if all you want is always to do quite simple editing. Having originate from an early version of Pinnacle Studio I was disappointed.
