I probably have something wrong I MUST be. but I have owned Pub. since way back when, several versions over time. I have a monthly task of developing a 1 page ad with high-res images, and my first attempts using the 2013 are just WAY too slow. Even if I compress the photos, it requires upwards of 5 minutes simply to re-position a perception with stuttering delays, and intensely slow loading/formatting. - I have already been repeating this same monthly job for 3 years using two different versions of Pub. Never with this issue.

I have Publisher 2010 and enjoyed it.
This upgraded without problem, and you would like I have a 20 years old computer the way this system runs. Everything you do, motionless your mouse to clicking a control button, carries a delay of a to several seconds. Its virtually unusable. I thought maybe there were a trouble with my machine, as I was developing a few other issues in other programs, so I re-formatted and did a clean install of all things from the main system up. Did it help? Nope. I am operating a Core i7 processor with 6 GB of RAM inside a 64 bit environment. No other program, including Publisher 2010 which I re-installed and today use has this challenge. Id love my a reimbursement.

I teach yearbook and I purchased Publisher 2013 to be effective on my schools yearbook while in the home. Little did I know it is so slow and laggy with pictures it is completely unusable. At my school we've publisher 2007 which works perfectly fine with all the exact same files and my computer is really a lot better than the cheaper machines that any of us use at high school. Now I still have to function on the yearbook in school and Im out nearly 100. Thanks for nothing Microsoft.

I been employed with Publisher 2007 and Microsoft Office products for a long time and have for ages been satisfied together with the product. I downloaded this once we bought a new computer. There has never been I mean NEVER a period of time that while I was working on my small weekly project that it hasnt crashed. It fails and if I dont make sure to save whenever Ive created a change, the data is lost. I have searched their help information as well as posted the issues on their blog, it doesn't help.
I cannot feel that Microsoft take their name on this device. I am very disappointed and can hesitate from the future to get Microsoft Office products.

Other downloads for software have gone smoothly but this installation is horrible. I must contact Microsoft and having someone who is capable of doing something inside a reasonable time-frame if disgusting. I have spent long spaces of time during a busy time wanting to get the application I needed for the publication for the retreat. I had to accomplish otherwise because I can't load the program. This week, I had children reunion postcard that had been stored in my previous version of publisher on the different computer, so I could hardly access it and had to try and do the entire thing once more. I had the retreat then easter break and still have not had time and energy to spend hours with Microsoft. I contacted them again yesterday by email and exclaimed I needed help resolving this matter. I was available after 6 eastern time. I often hear nothing from their website. I am totally, totally stressed and disgusted on this whole thing. I cannot get my money-back from Amazon and I cannot get help in a very timely fashion with Microsoft. I am not satisfied presently. Mary Evans

We purchase Publisher for decades in our office. I purchased this version being an update on Windows 8. The main reason I use Publisher would be to convert our newsletters and bulletins format to use on web. That feature is not available since Publisher 2010 as I discovered. If you wish to convert find another thing.

Over many years Ive used many versions of MS Publisher and constantly loved it. The 2013 version however is disappointing. There are many, many gripes I have with this particular version. I particularly dont like looking to change any picture; with Publisher 2003 you simply double clicked it also it took you straight away to a last directory you used, click on the new picture therefore you were done. With Publisher 2013 you've got to right go through the picture, select change picture, select change picture all over again, select browse and force it to visit your local directory, simply select the new picture and without asking it puts a copy on the old picture off page and zooms out of the home to whole page view with their old and new pictures selected. Terrible! What was once quick is actually slow and laborious. Youll finish up continuously zooming back to adjust the image you were implementing. There are no options to shut off this awful feature off. I honestly regret purchasing this version of Publisher.

03/20/2015 I removed my old Windows 7 and replaced it which has a clean install in this WIndows 8.1. I cannot be more happier. With a matching 120GB SSD hard disk drive for it, boot up and shutdown are a lot less than 10 seconds. I configured it to seem like Windows 7 since I love the previous interface. And it worked. It has everything I need for home desktop PC. I will cease upgrading to Windows 10 in the near future as I dont go to whichever major advantage of it for my application.

Turns out the fine print about the disk says this copy is made for distribution using a new Yada Yada so this is really a policy violation for some resale sites like ebay ect. 05/25/2014 It installed fast and sounded like a good OS in the beginning, however later on it could crash and I might have to reboot. I installed the many updates nonetheless it keeps happening. Sometimes when I boot up my PC the screen will only be the color purple and yes it stays that way until I press an important. Whatever key I press it merely turns the screen to blue. If I press every other key it goes back to purple. This doesnt vanish entirely and I ought to reboot all over again. Another downside will be the whole new redesigned interface. As you probably often hear, it isn't very popular, and rightly so. Everybody was used towards the past Windows which are all generally alike. This new design is difficult for getting accustomed to and initially YOU CANT FIND ANYTHING YOU WANT. It took me like a half-hour to find control panel along with other things. Overall, its not more than worth it for the cost. I would definitely get Windows 7 Premium over Windows 8.
