I purchased the Dazzle 90 product to convert my 8mm cassettes from a more mature Sony Camcorder to DVD. I have made about 6 DVDs now, and I am pretty pleased with my purchase. The software is rather simple to work with, plus the end product looks good. I do not notice any drop in quality. It takes numerous disk space. Just installing the software that accompany it took 7 gig you can probably manage with less by not installing all features?. You can get about one hour of high quality film onto a DVD, this also takes up about 7 gig. Also, the software program requires space on the harddriver of burning the movie on the dvd. I kept acquiring a message that I was without enough space. It was annoying who's would not identify exactly how much space it required. So I cleared off space, and did not receive the message to travel away until I had about 12-14 gig of free space. For this reason, I would suggest conducting a defrag before beginning.
One thing to learn, there can be a mention replacement for remove a captured video and take back space. But when you have burned the flicks to dvd, you could also build up a good deal of space in My Documents/Pinnacle Studios/Auxillary Files. I was running out of space again, after burning numerous movies, until I found this directory and exactly how much space it absolutely was eating up. I purchased the Dazzle 90 using the Studio 9 Quick Start program included, being unsure of anything about producing DVDs or programs using a rebate which made the last cost under 50. The cost wasnt nearly as important because results as long because the price was obviously a reasonable value for the purpose I received. I followed the instructions and everything works as advertised. I found Studio 9 Quick Start to become more difficult to work with and less easy to use than Roxios Easy CD DVD Creator 6. The unit captures video, sound, and whatever else it claims in my system with out a glitch. My CPU can be a 2.66gb Pentium 4 having a 533 BUS, 512 RAM, 2ea 120 GB Maxtor 7200 sp Hard drives, TDK CD DVD burners, and Im using my USB 2 ports because I dont yet possess a 1394 port which can be recommended. I did find it was important to dump the DVD material onto a clean defraged drive previous to burning to some DVD which I have dedicated to your program. I really dont realise why anyone has any problems using this type of unit when Im just starting out at this DVD stuff. My first DVD had different chapters and was met with rave reviews from even more computer-savvy friends I felt would dis it into oblivion. Instead, they needed to see the machine and programs so they really could do exactly the same thing. I heartily recommend this unit to anyone who do not want the stuff the Pros use, but want good to excellent results from your non-professional system.

I was looking for any means to convert a number of my VHS collection namely Centennial to DVD. I had looked into several systems, and am no complete amateur, as I do video conversions since my Amiga days over the decade ago. I recently purchased a new computer system using a USB2 port and also a DVD burner, so I figured now was enough time. I read bad reasons for the other Dazzle systems, but this place had good reviews. They were right. Within minutes of receiving and opening your box I was feeding film into my computer and ready burning the DVDs. I have since burned quite some. Its almost idiot proof. The quality just isn't exceptional, yet it is quite perfect for home movie conversions for those that aren't perfectionists. You must possess a USB2 port, knowning that seems being adequate speed. You also should specify and don't forget where you want the output to travel, or it has a tendency to hide files on the drive, using quite a bit of space. Very simple to make use of, and fun to learn around with. One thing. I use Nero to perform actual DVD burn. The burn function in Pinnacle take a long time. No problem to me, but could possibly be to others. Also, maybe Ive had no problems because I have an up-to-date system, with XP SP2, 3.4GB P4 CPU, etc. One more am stationed in Germany and Amazon won't ship if you ask me! I had to order through JR, but have it way quicker than I ever have through Amazon, possibly at a better price. Wonder why they wont ship item with an APO? Okay, maybe should just be 4 stars, but I go about doing like its usability.

I tried 3 different capture devices in a single week, and this also was definitely the easiest to work with and essentially the most portable, with high quality images. Set up is straightforward, install discs, install Pinnacle Studio Version 9, with a great instruction video for starters on how you can capture, edit and earn movies. USB2 device, which I am using in conjunction which has a laptop. Captured old analogue video images, and off many monitors at work together with images I need to make use of for presentations. Reasonable price for you get.
