Sadly, I missed out on playing the prior versions of Port Royale. Port Royale 3 is my introduction into your series, and in the first place until now, my experience is rather pleasant, indeed.
To me, PR3 is Railroad Tycoon meets Age of Sail, each of which are legendary and beloved gaming series if you ask me. Theres just a lot I love relating to this game. I love the acts of trading goods between ports, stocking up my ships with goods at one port, then selling all at another, and watching my profits rise higher and. I love outfitting ships for war, shanghai-ing sailors into servitude, arming all of them with swords and muskets, and hoping it doesn't mutiny. I love the aptly-paced real-time combat, outsmarting the AI with my naval combat maneuvers, and slowly and expertly filling their ships with holes and lead until they sink within the drink. Surprisingly, I also find myself experiencing the main campaigns storyline, while using adventure, love, and political intrigue.
Yes, naturally, it's just not a perfect game. There are more than the usual few things I find bothersome with PR3, but thankfully none are issues that break the overall game for me, or are causing me to dislike and quit playing. The buy/sell slider is among my most irksome griefs, since it's a nuisance to make use of. For what its made to do, it can work, however it requires additional effort than is warranted, in my view.

Its tough to fully express how disappointed I was with the game. Having loved Port Royale 2, and spent hundreds, or else thousands of hours playing that game, I was super excited to determine that a Port Royale 3 was developing. I found out 48 hrs before it was released, but happened to be 15% off by pre-ordering the action. The first game I think I have ever pre-ordered. Even in a discount, it is not worth the money.

The game itself is what I expected having tried the PS3 version first. I had no difficulty with installation plus the game caused my HDTV widescreen 720p television therefore, the proper configuration and support occurs unlike in Port Royale a few which have screen cut-off issues The game controls really are a little more friendly together with the keyboard and mouse than having a PS3 controller. This game was tedious right away. In-game instructions were scarce and didn, t explain the overall game sea battles were terrible, plus the control of ships is slow and frustrating. Basically the experience is all about trading comodities with some other towns which gets boring quickly. There was not enough within the game and keep me entertained. SORRY Kalypso Media

I generally like to experience the odd strategy game and with mafia wars offering the 2 standard game types AdventurerTrader I thought I would present you with a little something more important.
The tutorial is short and brief after which and thereafter I was very confused. I didnt think it explained things everything well and so to me after trying to try out it maybe once or twice got very bored quickly.
Unfortunately I was postpone by how complicated it seemed without the sport explaining things clearly enough so in my opinion I need to give it 2 stars.

First the positives. Good graphics, good sound. Accurate towards the ideas/philosophy with the Tudor age when privateers and pirates were active.
Now the negatives. No clues ingested on tips on how to trade. On how you can gain favour with local dignitaries in each town.
In general I found it frustrating and after 120 minutes of trying to try and do anything in addition to sail across the seas in the pretty fashion I quit and sold it.
