If you re an Elements 9 user, here s the right news: the Updates feature will automatically install the Camera Raw plug-in to suit your needs. I found this out yesterday, when I visited look at the info for that new Camera Raw 6.3 update. You can still download the plug-in and do every one of the dirty work of installing it yourself, however if you just head to HelpUpdates, Elements will download and install ACR 6.3 via itself. I just finished downloading the update. It loaded automatically into my system without any problems. I m glad that Rick thought to turn off the Editor although it was downloading because I wouldn t have known.

Well, I just downloaded DNG converter 6.6 and installed it within the Applications folder. I am now shooting in raw almost the many time. I have downloaded Adobe DNG and it functions fine. I have a very Canon EOS 50D and PE6. Have updated the Camera Raw to five.5 the max I can go which has a mac G4. I find I can open the CR2 files in Camera Raw without converting the crooks to dng files, so would want to know what the rewards are of doing this.
