I had Quicken 2009, but merely purchased 2010 because of your respective review. I desparately require a better budgeting tool than exists last year. Your article shows 2 more tabs about the budget, a approach to budget income and expenses Money has this but it really s going away.
My budget 2010 screen really has only Setup, Budget, Summary it s missing Income, Expenses the full reason I bought 2010.
Hmm are you within the planning tab? The wizard is under: OTHER TOOLS. My laptop died where I had quicken installed and I m reloading Vista these days, in the event it s done I ll understand on there and provide exactly how I did it.
Yes it s there about the planning tab select Other Tools and you could choose Budget. Did you acquire the Deluxe version? I m not positive when it s actually there within the starter edition.
I think it is possible to customise the tabs the thing is that in budget within the options menu within the top right in the window.
Thanks on your feedback. I purchased Quicken Premier. My planning tab won't have Other Tools. I can get to your Budget, but it really s precisely the same screen since the 2009 version merely has Setup, Budget and Summary tabs missing Expenses, Income and Savings. Did you import your computer data from a 2009 version? I ll try and install it clean over a different machine and let you are aware of the result in the couple of days.
I installed Quicken 2010 on another computer this uses Vista, within the first post I was using XP. The Budget stuff appears to work in Vista the same manner you described, although I really haven t done anything yet all of the tabs are available Setup, Budget, Summary, Income, Expenses, Savings. I am working together with Quicken support to obtain next the steps for my XP machine. They suggested I uninstall and re-install the XP version, but first I m planning to experiment with my XP-converted-to-2010 files in my Vista machine.
That s really strange so it works differently in XP, let's know should you find anything out.
Hi Paul, Thanks for your entire hardwork in reviewing this awesome product. I have used Quicken for countless years and had no problems until I got Windows Vista. How is Quicken 2010 interfacing with Vista? Did you might have any complications with that regard? Thanks on your help!

I had used quicken 2006 for countless years before upgrading to 2009. I upgraded because with this annoying message that recommended that I upgrade before Quicken ceased to compliment my older version. Boy was slideshow mistake. After upgrading, the graphs that I use to trace my spending were no more accurate. The expense graph numbers actually change when enlarged. Frustrated, I called Quicken and talked for a few hours with a guy in India who finally informed me that my data was corrupted. I told him that my data only agreed to be fine before I upgraded. Now I have paid another 50 to upgrade to Quicken 2010 assured that Quicken has repaired the flaws within the last version. My recommendation to anyone considering an upgrade is usually to stay put given that everything is working. I wish that I had never upgraded. Quicken support in unhelpful if you've got any problems in connection with an upgrade.

I updated to Quicken 2010 after you have a new computer using Windows 7; no download problems yet, however, if I reconcile a purchase account and not using a linked cash account, every one of the trades revert to some 0 basis that has a 100%. Email tech support could only help with data corruption files and referred me to phone support. Phone support was unhelpul telling me that ever since the transactions were corrected using CtrlZ that my problem was solved. When asked purchasing future errors, she said that wouldn t happen, however it did. I ve stopped reconciling while I loose time waiting for phone support to call me back 48 hrs and still waiting. Odd note: it only happens with my Schwab accounts, not the account from Principal.
I contain the old 2004 program but having just updated to windows 7 i have found it can no longer run. Can you tell me if your 2010 program provides you with the replacement for work in GBP as opposed to dollars.
