Perhaps i thought this was possible with older version of Opera Portable, given that they always started the profile coming from a unique temp folder. Now it isnt possible, as the profile begins - -for good reasons- coming from a fixed temp folder. Maybe to be able to override the folder location may very well be added for the profile choice dialog?

My problem on Vista residence is when trying to employ a profile made on XP work.
The problem it is the folder hierarchy changed on Vista. While on XP you've got C:Documents and Settings user, on Vista you might have C: user :
So the paths cant be hard coded. They must be relative paths.

i always want to use opera than firefox because during my country, internet speed is unreliable, so i choose to turn off the style, in support of show image I would like to see.
you still cant fo that on firefox. IE can get it done, but sometimes IE just
on this App, i'm able to go from online rental to a new internet rental without difficulty because i knew i always have opera to browse with.

I like firefox too for many things that Opera just wont do, nevertheless the portable firefox just sucks. If it were packaged exactly the same as Opera, that will rock. Of course I have little idea how to perform it myself.

Create a directory somewhere in your drive, ff by way of example.
Create a subdirectory called 7za and copy in it.
Create another subdirectory called firefox and copy the uncompressed firefox portable with it.
Copy this script in to the ff directory, name it for instance.
Compile the script using NSIS and run the file. Thats all. Your entire pair of data will probably be stored inside the 7z compressed file.

As to the lack of posts or updates from yuku regarding support for later versions of opera, Has anybody taken some time to think that yuku might really be on holiday?, He is only human all things considered.

I apologize with the lack of updates inside the last quarter or so. I am on overseas internship now so a great deal of things had changed and somehow I could not keep while using pace. But today I just released 9.51 beta because I am not very sure it truely does work well, please have fun with this!

I gathered in the posts the project was dead. A while back, I did produce a donation and downloaded the builder. I didnt utilize it and just downloaded the portables when they were released. Since then I lost the link for the builder. Maybe Yuku is away, to know.

I found the link with the builder around my email, visited Yukos folder, downloaded the modern 12th April builder and recompiled without worrying about locale folder. Because the translation files are highly compressible, the scale only reduced to c. 7.5MB. Any hints about what else could be removed to provide a smaller build?

Im writing this inside a web cafe, within the locally installed firefox while I watch for the portable version just to save my memories. This feature is ridiculously slow. Otherwise its a great piece of software. Would it be possible possible to disable the save my memories on the session by session basis?

I wished I could make it happen. However, it'd need some filesystem emulator from the RAM, including the ramdisk need admin privileges or being a product called Thinstall. However we're not free:
I love the program! My only grief is always that it should delete my bookmarks and settings anytime. I always find yourself having to copy them from my Firefox portable anytime I open it. I thought the Personal version wasn't supposed to complete that. Maby I am doing something wrong? Any Ideas?
