For me, from a brilliant begin with Shogun, Medieval, and Rome, the Total War series got too delayed with a glut of unit types. I don't realize what these clowns are complaining about, but I love this game. Granted, Steam sucks develop a. But you determine what? If it werent for Steam, the only real PC game you should ever play could well be some worthless port. Your first clue for the reason that this might be a considerable game is always that there is no PS3 or Xbox version. This game was created exclusively for PCs and takes full benefit from my new setup. The direct x 11 graphics are beyond cool; they may be, occasionally at least, absolutely breathtaking. The AI is very good, especially within the battlefield with all the battle difficulty arrived. There is simply just no limit as to what you can do so far as recreating famous battle tactics and maneuvers from history. Show me another non-pos, non-port game where that you can do that. As to the kid whining about being attacked his first turn, go play COD.
As a Civ IV addict who was simply absolutely disappointed and rather nauseated in what they did to this game, I was excited to view that I had found a worthy supplement not replacement in Shogun 2. The diplomatic aspect on the game just isn't as cool Civ IV you cant trade tech, people appear to break treaties with impunity, the resource angle just isn't so clear, etc., however the battle sequences are flat out badass. And like Civ, its still extremely fun to vassalize some poor bastard who just happens being camping out within my favorite spot beside Kyoto. So it goes, and so I play what exactly is an awesome game.

First impressions are incredibly positive - exotic setting, very polished interface, graphics and audio the tunes score alone will probably be worth the purchase. The game looks stunning following DirectX11 patch was launched. Battles are quick and deadly, castle sieges certainly are a bit slower but more action packed due to your way they may be performed. Strategic part in the game is involved, the expanded over Medieval diplomacy and character development trees really are a nice feature. Tech tree seems a tad smaller these times though may very well be only my impression. The only gripe that I have with the overall game is a limited unit selection. The game gets repetitive prematurely. After playing 5 campaign games I lost a bit with the interest from it. Every clan has access to a similar units, the sole difference being traits and bonuses included in some units/buildings depending on which faction you really choose. That quickly deteriorates into the sport of rock-paper-scissors operating troops being simply divided into 4 main categories equal of spears, swords, cavalry and archers. Given, same goes for about Medieval, but there at the least each category had many units inside it, for any total of all-around 200 possible fieldable units. Overall though, It is really a very enjoyable game, with perhaps somewhat less replay value when compared to the older games within the series. It will likely be interesting to find out if you will see any expansion packs from the future.

This game is wonderful. As keen on RTS games and samurais, this became like a dream become a. Most on the bad surveys are not concerning the game itself, even so the fact that farmville requires a great deal of hardware. I am running this on my small ASUS G75vw-ds72, also it runs okay although it will get slow at places.
I such as the simplicity on the game: as opposed to having a great deal of different types of troops, you'll find only three main types each using own good and bad points. The scales with the battles are huge where there can be a huge number of men fighting within the battlefield at any given time.
Online is quite fun too, however it may get a lttle bit repetitive if you are just playing the avatar conquest. The multiplayer campaign is fun, but taking turns will not be very pleasant, specifically when the other player takes forever. Online also can lag sometimes if the connection is just not too great.
Overall, mafia wars is great and you need to really get it when you are a fan in the series or ant rts games.
