I saved my file frequently. Opened file up overnight, not saved in any respect. All new data missing. What a waste. What a nasty action to take to somebody. Have them work all day long. Program fakes you out of trouble allowing you just to save file, then again does not save or reverts to old file.

Im curious I wont treat you prefer the other person who seems obvious whos the dipshit for me because Ive used this system for 6 or several years and have never had this dilemma. In fact, Open Office has ended up to save a great deal of after the initial learning curve all night . to unlearn some on the subtleties of Office Suite. Im not attached to any software company, only need a small manufacturing company 55 employees which does your own Marketing, Advertising, Mailings etc. and open Office has allowed us to NOT PAY 700 per seat with approximately 12 to 14 seats needed thats a lotta cheese! 9, 000 to 11, 000 every several years can add as much as REAL MONEY!

Ive been using openoffice for several years. On my old laptop it posed no problems, except so it would crash every now and again. When I got a fresh laptop however, it could crash randomly every one of the time and take time to recover files, or only please let me open a duplicate of my original file. This morning was the ultimate straw in the event it crashed and put off my laptop. When i turned it back on again my several thousand word thesis ended up erased somehow!! When I clicked to open up the file there is a blank space, while I was sure to save lots of it often. I promptly uninstalled openoffice and downloaded some other brand of software. To my surprise my laptop, which have been lagging and freezing frequently, even when trying to make use of the internet despite being only 5 months old! was restored into a fast-acting and back to normal new computer. 3. There can be a missing feature, became a great little desktop publishing wizard that USED to be designed for 3.3 version.
Really a fantastic system considering it cost nothing. Having taught MS products, including Office, I would never rewind having tried this now. I have not found much this may not do.
BTW, I am an ACTUAL OOffice user having used this considering that the 3.0 version. and in many cases wrote a magazine with it over a no longer available Desktop Publishers wizards.

Does not build data bases as it constantly claims it requires a java app open and attached to do what??? once was you could scan a sheet with numbers and names to it and it also would add them in to the business address book, obviously I have java installed and operating on my computer.
